TGI stands for the latest technologies and processes that approach perfection – all designed to serve the market success of our customers.

In recent years the plant in Ilmenau has evolved into one of the most modern glass works in Europe. With four specially designed melting tanks and highly flexible, automated production lines, it is now possible for us to realise (almost) everything our customers request. Our brand-name glass products ILMABOR^®, ILMADUR^® and ILMATHERM^® are normally produced in large batches on state-of-the-art machinery in our own plant. That calls for rigorously organised, computer-controlled production chains to guarantee high reproducibility and even better quality. And for that we have of course been awarded DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 accreditation.

We guarantee that the whole cycle of operations – melting, blowing, pressing, secondary processes, finishing, storage and delivery – results in excellent reproducibility and secure handling with short setup times. For both large and small batches.

Our engineers and technicians target the areas for improvement measures in order to advance our production technologies. So that you can continue to expect innovative processes and new products from TGI in the future as well.
